Patricia R. Miles is the Founder and President of Son Rise Community Service Corporation (SRCSC) of Maryland, a faith-informed community organization dedicated to empowering girls, young women, youth, and families through education, mentorship, and socio-economic development initiatives. A pastor, veteran, healthcare professional, and community leader, Pastor Miles represents a new generation of faith-driven leadership that integrates spiritual wisdom with practical solutions to address the complex challenges facing communities in today's rapidly evolving society.
As the youngest daughter of Dr. Winnie E. Hamilton, founder of Son Rise Global Ministries, Pastor Miles carries forward a powerful legacy of service rooted in compassion, outreach, and community transformation. Dr. Hamilton's ministry impacted communities locally and internationally through initiatives addressing poverty, housing instability, health disparities, and spiritual restoration. Through SRCSC, Pastor Miles continues and expands this mission, focusing particularly on the development and empowerment of adolescent girls and young adult women—helping them discover purpose, overcome adversity, and build sustainable futures.
Pastor Miles brings more than three decades of executive leadership experience in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement within Medicare and Medicaid health plans. Her professional work has centered on improving healthcare access and quality for underserved populations and individuals with complex medical and social needs. This experience uniquely equips her to bridge the worlds of faith, healthcare literacy, and social services, allowing SRCSC to address both the spiritual and practical needs of the communities it serves.
Consecrated and installed into the sacred office of Pastor in 2021, Pastor Miles is a "marketplace minister," allowing her faith to guide her leadership across both ministry and professional environments. She considers her pastoral calling the most sacred of her assignments and approaches it with humility, reverence, and a deep commitment to service.
Under her leadership, Son Rise Community Service Corporation is developing programs designed to address critical social determinants of well-being, including housing instability, food insecurity, workforce readiness, healthcare access, and healthcare literacy. Through collaborative partnerships with health departments, social service agencies, churches, and community organizations, SRCSC provides workshops, mentoring, food assistance, transitional housing support, and youth development opportunities. One of its signature initiatives, the Appleseeds Program, focuses on equipping young people with the tools, confidence, and practical skills needed to pursue meaningful education and career pathways.
Pastor Miles is also the author of Butterfly Encounters, a work created to encourage adolescents and young adults to recognize their God-given potential and to embrace the process of transformation in their lives. In addition to her work in ministry and community leadership, she is an inventor, workshop facilitator, and advocate for personal development and empowerment.
She holds a Bachelor's degree in Christian Education from Shalom Bible College and Seminary and is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Healthcare Administration, further strengthening her ability to lead initiatives that intersect health, community development, and social impact. Pastor Miles is also a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served during the Gulf War, and is the recipient of multiple military honors recognizing her dedication and service to the nation.
Above all, Pastor Patricia R. Miles remains steadfast in her calling: to restore hope, cultivate purpose, and build pathways for young women and families to thrive. Through Son Rise Community Service Corporation, she continues the visionary work begun by her mother—expanding it to meet the evolving needs of a rapidly changing world while ensuring that compassion, faith, and practical wisdom remain at the heart of community transformation.
